We're organizing a week of art made by and for the Temescal community, built on a simple belief: creativity heals, and creating together makes our community stronger, more resilient, and more whole.

a one hour walking tour led by Don Lowrey and featuring Juan Lopez’s mosaic creations found on Telegraph Avenue’s refuse containers.

Center Director Laura Placencia has organized a panel of artists speaking on the theme of the show, an Art Show with TACo Artists and many hands on activities. 12–6 pm - six hours of continuous programs for all ages!

Led by Carrie McClish, Sacred Heart Church opens its doors as members exhibit stunning artwork for all to see with a show called “Celebrating the Season of Creation.”

An interesting name and a very interesting place….Emmanuel has done a great job of gathering a potpourri of all things art for his Afro-Indo Market. Chai is a specialty but there’s a lot more than that…. . Listen to the music and look for the crowd outside. You are welcome anytime in the afternoon!

“Spooky Show” is being produced by Temescal local artists Ace Palomino and Cotton TheAct and staring several performers in a fun friendly showcase….it’ll be a great show!

Marcela Smith, Davi Barker, Ashleigh Castro and JamieBe Real – Gabe will be happy to serve a good cup of coffee (try a mocha) and some tasty pastry while you in enjoy the artwork – the unofficial TACo annex – a happy place where our members exhibit their work – give yourself a treat!

Student Art Show with teenage artists by students from countries around the world– an interesting campus featuring scenic murals inside and outside the school building. - you’ll enjoy this interactive and cross cultural arts class activity.

Come to listen, to be heard, to see, to move, to celebrate and to improvise. Everyone is welcome as a participant or audience member. The workshop is a playground for free improvisation at the Temescal Art Center – hosted by Lewis Jordan.

Visiting artist Marlye Snow will lead Zentangle- an easy to learn, relaxing and fun way to create beautiful images by drawing structured patterns. Join us in the lower lever of the library.

TACo artists Christine Trowbridge, Davi Barker, and Tami DeSellier will teach how to create colorful collages - you get to take yours home – fun for the whole family! second floor - entrance on 42nd Street

Executive Director Catherine Millar has a stocked Depot - enjoy an ecological treasure trove of art and craft materials, educational supplies, home décor, paper goods and fabric – there’s something for everyone.

Gabriel Escobar, owner of Tailor It! and his band, AJAYUZ play Andean music - 6pm-8pm – A tailor by day and a musician by night – bringing freshness and clarity to the music of Bolivia on Telegraph Avenue. TACo artist Woody Johnson will display his artwork.

An artist talk by local illustrators of displayed puzzles and games sold by the store. Come and find out if art is a puzzle or a puzzle is art. Or both! An unforgettable evening.

Interactive Textile Painting by Melina Finkelstein, interactive collage making with Davi Barker and Louis Libert - Come to be painted in your old clothes to paint someone else – fun with textiles!
